Terms & Conditions of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using the XP Laundry (“Service”) or accessing our website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. We may update these terms periodically; continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
2. Service Overview
XP Laundry offers laundry pick‑up, cleaning and delivery services for residential and commercial customers. You authorize us to clean the items you submit using standard wash cycles and drying methods. Clothes are washed in warm or hot water and tumble‑dried; garments not suitable for this process may be damaged. Industry competitors explicitly warn customers that items not fit for standard laundering or lacking appropriate care labels are cleaned at the customer’s risk xplaundry.com; XP Laundry is no different.
3. Customer Responsibilities
Suitability: You must ensure that all items are suitable for laundering using water and standard detergents. We cannot inspect every garment before washing and cannot be held responsible for damage to items that are inherently weak or have hidden defects xplaundry.com.
Remove Objects & Check Pockets: Please check pockets and remove belts, pins, pens, stickers, jewelry, razors and any other objects. Laundry providers routinely advise customers to inspect their bags for potentially damaging objects xplaundry.com XP Laundry is not responsible for damage caused by items left in pockets or mixed with your laundry xplaundry.com.
Care Labels: Follow garment care instructions and identify any special‑care items in writing. We cannot guarantee against colour loss, bleeding, shrinkage or damage to embellishments such as buttons, beads or zipper xplaundry.com.
Timely Pickup/Delivery: Provide accurate contact information and ensure that laundry is available for pick‑up at the scheduled time. We are not responsible for items before pick‑up or after delivery xplaundry.com.
4. Liability Release for Garment Condition
You acknowledge that laundering carries inherent risks – garments may be lost or damaged despite best effort xplaundry.com. XP Laundry exercises reasonable care in cleaning and handling garments, but we are not responsible for:
Inherent weaknesses or defects in fabrics (e.g., suede, leather, silk, vinyl) that cause tearing or discoloration xplaundry.com
Colour loss, bleeding, shrinkage or damage to delicate fabrics or accessories xplaundry.com.
Damage from customer errors, such as failure to identify dry‑clean‑only items or leaving pens, crayons, money or other objects in bags xplaundry.com.
Personal items (watches, jewelry, wallets, cufflinks, money, etc.) left in bags or pockets xplaundry.com
5. Lost or Damaged Items and Limits of Liability
Our liability for any item is limited to a maximum of US$5 per item. This cap reflects industry practice where reimbursements are capped per pound or per item xplaundry.com. To make a claim:
Report Immediately: Notify us within 24 hours after delivery. Many laundry services require claims within a day of delivery to maximize the chance of locating missing items xplaundry.com.
Provide Proof: Provide your pick‑up/delivery ticket and proof of purchase (receipt or evidence of item value). Without proof, compensation may be denied.
Inspection: We may request inspection or photographs of the damaged item. If you wish to keep a damaged item, compensation may be provided as store credit only.
Resolution: Upon verification, reimbursement is limited to US$5 per item lost or damaged. Any decisions on reimbursement are final, similar to policies used by other services xplaundry.com.
If a bag or order is completely lost, compensation will not exceed the total number of items multiplied by US$5. We do not reimburse more than this cap regardless of brand, age or condition of garments xplaundry.com.
6. Unclaimed Items
Items not collected or delivered within 30 days after service completion may be considered abandoned and may be donated or disposed of. Other laundries adopt similar policies for unclaimed items xplaundry.com
7. Payment & Fees
Payment is due upon order placement. We accept credit/debit cards and reserve the right to place a hold on your account until the balance is paid. All prices and fees are subject to change. Fees for rush service or specialty items will be disclosed before service.
8. Changes to Terms
We may modify these terms at any time. Updated terms will be posted on our website; continued use of our service after changes constitutes acceptance.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA. Any disputes shall be resolved in Cameron County courts unless superseded by applicable law.
